Paul Marantz

Lighting Designer / United States / Fisher Marantz Stone

 

Paul Marantz, IES, FIALD LC, is a Founder and Consulting Design Principal of Fisher Marantz Stone. With training in architecture, architectural history, and industrial design as well as in lighting, he brings a multidisciplinary background to architectural lighting. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Oberlin College with graduate work at Case/Western Reserve University and Brooklyn College. He has received numerous IES Lumen Citations for projects, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Radio City Music Hall and the Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball in New York City, the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, and The Byzantine Fresco Chapel in Houston. He received an IALD Citation for the Rainbow Room and an Award for Excellence for the Islamic Cultural Center in New York City and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Paul Marantz led the Fisher Marantz Stone “Tribute in Light” team to honor the victims of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center.
